Privacy policy

limebite.net is run by Umme Salma (LimeBite), the data controller. Contact: [email protected].
Your files stay on your device
The LimePDF tools, Lime Images, Lime Unix Time and Lime Colors process files in your browser. Your PDFs, images and documents are never uploaded to LimeBite.
Lime Images background removal downloads an AI model (from huggingface.co and cdn.jsdelivr.net) the first time you use it. Only the model is downloaded; your photos are not sent anywhere.
AI features
AI Summarize and Ask the PDF (coming 15 November 2026), and the AI help in LimeWord, LimeSheet and LimeIDE, are designed to run on your device. We do not send your documents or prompts to cloud AI models, and your content is never used to train models. If a future feature ever needs a cloud model, it will be clearly labelled, off by default, and this policy will be updated first.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
Our free tools are paid for by ads. Pages load Google AdSense, so Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technology to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, including ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ads Settings, and read how Google uses data from partner sites. Ads never see the files you open in our tools.
Accounts (optional)
If you register we store your name, email, a salted password hash, sign-in sessions and your consent choices. We use this to run your account. You can delete everything from your account page.
Marketing and partner sharing
Both checkboxes on the registration form are optional and unticked by default.
- LimeBite emails: only if you tick it, we may email you LimeBite news and product updates.
- Sharing with vendors and partners: only if you tick it, we may share your email address with carefully chosen vendors and partners so they can send you their own marketing. We will not share it otherwise, and we never sell other data about you.
Either choice is only used after your email is confirmed, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing [email protected] or deleting your account. LimeBite does not send any email yet.
Blog comments
Your name and comment are public. An email address is optional, never shown, and only used for product updates if you tick that box.
Contact form
The contact form opens your own email app. If you email us, we use your address only to reply.
Security logs
To stop abuse we keep short-lived rate-limit records keyed to IP address or email.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use. Email [email protected]. UK users can also complain to the ICO. See also our Terms of use.
